A new season
It is springtime south of the equator! How fitting that as the seasons transition, the Lord has been stirring up the hearts in our local church in Lambaré.
There has been an undeniable, beautiful renewal in the spirit at our church. It has brought conviction and called each of us to higher ground.
Singing Competition
Our Pastor, Anthony Bir, and his wife, Diana, were asked to judge a singing competition between a few churches. They packed the youth group in two cars, and we drove to a UPCI countryside church. Possibly on the hottest night of our lives. (Exaggeration, but it was stuffy without air circulation.) I wish I had taken more photos, but I was sweating like Niagara Falls and was being eaten alive by mosquitos. :P
Family Camp
Missionary Eugenio Domínguez, with his wife, travelled from Panama to be the special speaker for this year's camp. The camp was held in the countryside, among tall palm trees, goats, and cows, and it was picture-perfect.
We shared Tereré (Yerba Mate, served cold), sought shade, and ate together. Most importantly, the word of God was preached. It was a wonderful time.
Christian School
English classes
September is an important month for the students. My focus was on preparing them for the upcoming English final exams. I want these kids to succeed, so I developed a few supplement worksheets to help them improve their weak points.
Kids service
It has to be said that Sis Bir has been preparing captivating lessons!
One week, I was in full character as the man with the withered hand. I startled a teacher or two with my stunning beard. They got a kick out of it when they realized it was me. A few of the children were a part of that drama. The kids got a, and they did a great job.
It is heartwarming to see more children express their desire to participate actively in the Kid's service. Their enthusiasm is contagious and a testament to the engaging lessons prepared by Sis Bir.
Christian Education
This month, I was able to attend Friday's outdoor classes. Sis Bir's object lesson on the desire for Jesus to heal us was timely. The children were engaged not just by the presentation but also by the presence of the Lord among them.

Please pray for these children, they will be the first fruits in a new revival in Lambaré!
